About Sunset
Our members are committed to modeling our mission statement in our personal lives as well as in our church ministries. We want you and your family to join us as we further the Kingdom of God in Pasadena, Texas.
Evangelism Team
Sunset UMC’S Evangelism Team focuses on providing radical hospitality so that guests know they have visited a congregation where they will be welcomed, establishing caring ministries so that every member is treated as part of the family of God, and developing neighborhood involvement so that those who live in our area will always know there is a church next door that is available to them.
In 2010 we plan to:
· Expand our hospitality teams so there is always a friendly face in our Welcome Center
· Restructure our caring ministries to provide every member of our church with regular contact
· Plan four neighborhood events similar to our fall Pancake Breakfast
· Prayer Walk the neighborhood distributing door hangers at least four times a year
· Encourage fruitful discipleship by participation in the “Five Practices of Fruitful Congregations”
The members of this team are: Nancy Hinshaw as the Chairperson, Cecilia Arredondo, Margaret Beck, Jeri Davis, Sallye Dolan, Mike Hale, Barre Hester, Martin Hinshaw, Jean Hodson, Sue Hoover, Jim Keeney, Art Morgan, Suzanne Morgan, Karla Pavey, Larry Snow, Gordon Steele and Steve Taylor.
